Happy Mother’s Day Thoughts & Tips
First let me say Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mom’s around the world (ツ)
Mother’s Day for me was a day to remind my Mom just how much she meant to me every day of my life. At her funeral I was asked if I could think of something to say about my Mom. I all could think of in the moment was: “If they lined up all the Mothers in world and I could pick which one I wanted, I would still pick my Mom… over and over again.”
For those of you who are fortunate enough to still have your Mums present and in your lives I am sure you know just what to do to make her day special. But just the same, here are some really nice out of the box tips.
- Schedule a Photo Shoot: Select a scenic park and pack a picnic lunch. Make memories and capture them on film.
- Make a Donation: Donate to a cause she cares about in her honor.
- Create a Cook Book: If she is a great cook… go online and create a cookbook of her favorite recipes.
- Give the Gift of Time: Give her your time whether it is time spent with her or time spend doing things for her.
- Honor the Other Woman: Thank the other women in your life who you have a special bond with.
- Book Early: Make eating out reservations early this also includes ordering flowers ahead of time too.
- Schedule a Phone Call: If you can’t be there, call when you can spend some time talking with your Mom.
The world wide web offers millions of gift ideas and tips for Mother’s Day. But speaking as a sentimental Mom I always treasured the gifts made from the heart. I still have my home made cards, books of “Why I Love My Mom”, coupons and art.
